# A new version of Pikbon is available

> A banner offers an update. Tap Reload. If the update fails, tap Repair.

Tap **Reload** in the banner at the bottom of the screen. Pikbon reloads with the new version.

## Before you start

- Finish what you are writing first.

## Steps

1. Look at the dark banner at the bottom of the screen.
2. It says “A new version of Pikbon is available.”
3. Tap **Reload**.
4. Wait for the page to reload.

## If it does not work

- The banner says “Update not possible right now.”: tap **Repair**. Pikbon reloads.
- Still the same message? Write to support@pikbon.com.

## Good to know

- The banner says “An important Pikbon update is available.”: Pikbon reloads by itself when you change page, never while you are typing.
- Pikbon stays usable in the meantime.

### Why does this banner appear?

Pikbon looks for a new version every 5 minutes, and when you come back to the app.

### What does “Repair” do?

It deletes the app files kept on your device, then reloads the page. Your account is not affected.

### Can I ignore the banner?

Yes, Pikbon stays usable. For an important update, it reloads by itself when you change page.
